The house with solar heat and air

This is the house that I lived in in the early 1980s. Some panels provide solar heat and solar water heating. We also had a large granite water heater in the basement. It carried the new hot tub and the heat for the house. The heat came from the solar heat, but a small blower in the attic provided enough warmth for the windows to remain open after a blizzard. We also had a wind generator to help with energy.

PS: It was great fun to answer solar sales calls back in the day and let them know what we had on the home.

I'd enjoy hearing more about this house. The four water heating panels look like the ones Grumman made. The interior of those panels were a light turquoise or aqua marine color. I would have thought they would have been flat black. The glass cover were of a convex nature, like the ones shown, and I think they were made in the 80's. Supposed to be very efficient.

We had a granite-lined 40-gallon water "heater" to go with it. I'm not sure what brand they were. I was not part of the actual purchase of them, but they worked. I'd love to have another set and put it on a small home. That house had 6 bedrooms: 3 on the level you see there and 3 in the walkout basement.
