The inverter has been working hard since the first day it was installed and I think it lasted quite well, but now I'm in a difficult situation. The current setup involves the inverter combined with 10 175w panels. With the inverter gone, I'll be doing an upgrade, that's for sure, but should I keep the existing panels and add more or replace the whole system?

If the panels are still putting out decent power, I'd keep them and add more with a new inverter that can handle the mix. Full replacement only makes sense if the panels are really showing their age.

I’m with @hypothalamoose on this. If those panels are still producing fine, keeping them and expanding usually makes more sense, especially in Nevada sun. How old are the panels and do you know roughly what they’re outputting now?
