Thought I'd join and learn what I can here. Not using solar so far except for reflector cookers & water heater. Would like to set it up as a sun tracking heliostat.

Yeah, it's just an old sketch. I was thinking of using a 2 gallon garden sprayer instead of the Jerry Can to make a Solar Shower. Amazon has some Sun Tracking devices that are affordable to use to drive the motor using a time delay in the circuit. So every 10 minutes the motor will come to life for a few seconds to update to the Sun's position in the sky.

I would imagine setting the outfit up in the late evening to aim it to the east so it would begin heating water early in the AM. But with a small solar panel charging the battery this unit could produce hot water all day if there is enough sunshine. Kind of a hybrid heliostat water heater.

This is the other sketch I couldn't find earlier. It is shown with a conventional electric plug but it could be driven with battery kit.

So if I went fishing or swimming at the beach, I'd have hot water for a shower when I'd get back to camp.

Thank you for that diagram to help others. It is appreciated.
